BENEFITS OF COUNSELLING
There are as many reasons to engage in counselling as there are people.
Learning to feel good about ourselves boosts our confidence, helps us live more fully and cope better when life takes a difficult turn.
Talking about our thoughts and feelings can help us address an immediate problem or one we may have been carrying around for a while. We may be having trouble working through the problem on our own and are uncertain what to do.
If things are starting to affect your home life or work and your personal and professional relationships, or if things just seem to be getting on top of you or you feel ‘stuck’ – that’s when counselling can help.
You may not feel like your old self and need help to work out why this is and what you can do about it. It may be difficult to confide in friends, family or colleagues, either because they are involved or just because you would prefer to talk to someone who isn’t part of your day to day life.
I am experienced in providing non-judgemental support, led by what you, the client, need. My focus is on helping you to help yourself. Counselling allows you to make sense of things that have happened and how they have affected you, to understand what you want and accept and feel proud of who you are.
“Counselling has helped me to work through difficulties, gaining a greater perspective and self-awareness, which will aid me in my future.”
